SACRED  POWER BELLY with Delilah

This is a thematic workout class that will address energy work and body awareness in a magical Goddessey sort of way. Todays women need to reclaim their bodies right to feel and express joy and celebration about living in a woman’s body! The overwhelming economic unset, accelerating internet technology, world unrest is making it hard to move these days and yet it’s more important than ever!
Let us feel our women’s bodily wisdom. Let it rise up in our bodies, move our limbs, slap our hips with excitation and heave up through our breasts and show thought to our radiant faces! Open your pelvic floor awareness, open your eyes wide and engage your life force!

Starts at 7:30 sharp!
Come in and get settled and then begin to ground your energy and engage an internal focus and body awareness.
Basically we will do some conscious breathing and guided visualization into power belly style follow the leader work out. We will use poetry, found sounds, affirmations and eclectic music and song.

Wear comfortable dance clothes; Yoga pants or skirts, leotards or sports bras, or Goddess Gowns. With or without coin hip scarfs or weight belts.

Delilah
Delilah is an internationally acclaimed belly dance performer and instructor. She was the first dancer to receive the Dancer of the Year Award from the International Academy of Middle Eastern Dance in Hollywood, California 1997. Delilah grew up in Southern California, learning the dance form as it was passed on and popularized in this country by first and second generation immigrants from Lebanon, Armenia, Iraq, Syria, Iran, Egypt, Israel, Turkey, Morocco and Greece. Her years of devoted study and practice have led her to become one of the foremost teachers and innovators in the field of bellydance today.  More >>
