Wednesday Night Absolute Beginning class Oct 18 at 6:30
ABOUT: The style is often called “American Cabaret” AMCAB which is the dance style that is the matrix behind all the other styles across the globe. It gives the student dancer a rich foundation no matter which creative direction she may choose in the future. The body is universal and the process of learning controlled body isolations is the same however starting with AMCAB gives you historic foundational perspective from which to build from. You learn the music foundations, and cultural threads, and sprit and female empowerment behind the dance.
The full course will explore almost every aspect; veil dance, drum rhythms, finger symbols, undulations, shimmy techniques, routines formats, costumes ! All fun!
NOTE: If we can gather a core group of dance sisters all starting this fall maybe we will form a future dance troupe.
