Words alone:

“I open my heart.”

“I create my world.”

“I gather the Earth’s energy into my heart.”

“I release the Earth’s energies up to the sky!”

“I gather the skie’s energy into my heart.”

“I stand in balance.”

“I gather the gifts that make me unique into my heart.”

“And I say, Dancers* of the East I give you the gifts of my heart!”

“and in turn, I accept your gifts into my heart.”

“And I say, Dancers* of the West I give you the gifts of my heart!”

“and in turn, I accept your gifts into my heart”

Repeat entire ritual movements and then say;

“And I say, Dancers* of the South I give you the gifts of my heart!”

“and in turn, I accept your gifts into my heart”

“And I say, Dancers* of the North I give you the gifts of my heart!”

“and in turn, I accept your gifts into my heart”

Call out loudly into that direction and step forward lunging on right . Open arms and chest forward. Hold position while you let your mind imagine, receive visions and engage aspects of that direction. It maybe specific people that come to mind or symbols, colors or scents.; you name it. . . . literally call out what comes to mind if you feel it.

“and in turn, I accept your gifts into my heart”

Draw into your heart and turn to left 1/2 turn to opposite direction.

“And I say, Dancers of the West I give you the gifts of my heart!”

Repeat as above opening heart and pausing to receive visions.

“and in turn, I accept your gifts into my heart”

* This can be substituted for other nouns:

We have used in the past: dancers, animals, people, solders, law makers, leaders, angels, birth givers, healers, lovers, tresspassors . . .

** In a group

All Call out to your noun choice loudly into that direction and step forward lunging on right . Open arms and chest forward. Feel your heart open.. Hold position while you let your mind imagine and engage aspects of that direction. It maybe specific people that come to mind or symbols, colors, ideas, causes or scents; you name it. . . . literally call out what comes to mind if you feel it. Then the assigned leader in that direction says, “And we accept your gifts into our hearts” and all pull towards their hearts and about face in 1/2 turn in opposite direction. The same happens for the West and then turn 1/4 turn counter clock wise to South. . . then repeat and do a 1/2 tun toward the north. and repeat as long as you want. Basically you always step out with right foot and in every other direction is a 1/2 or a 1/4 turn to left.

Origins

I learned it from Laurel Victoria Gray and and added the idea of changing the nouns and the creative visualization and naming things. Laurel learned it at a retreat from some one who said it originally came from Dhyani Wahoo of the Sun Ray Institute ( a school with a mix of Tibetian and Native American philosophies). I have sense seen the original and it is very different so this version has a life of it’s own that has been molded through each heart it has passed through. What matters is the sacred intent and good work it effects.
