I know many of you have been getting excited! That excites me!
The parade is always a big deal at Visionary Dance and very important to the sustainability of our studio. We have had many of the past 12 months in the red. Things are turning around a bit now. We can feel it!  We are looking forward to a very powerful Summer Solstice Parade. We hope to see all your smiling faces in some capacity to show your support of the beauty and vitality belly dance brings into all our lives!
The parade is about demonstrating our pride and conviction!
We have an exciting plan for this parade !

The Theme:

” Our Rich Green Planet Earth”
The costume theme color is White and Green.  A green that does not fade, dull or turn black or gray from a distance, but is vivid and alive. Hows that? Shades will of course very. We will demonstrate the first day of Parade class so not to worry.
Think of your selves as Guardian Priestesses Emissaries of the Mother Earth
Your costume may reflect cause, critter or concerns as part of it’s theme.
Bring up environmental issues you are passionate about at our classes and rehearsals to keep us pumped! tell your dance friends to join us this year! It’s a blast!
We will brake into four elemental groups and have theme props and group leaders.
EARTH / Wednesday with Dahlia
WATER /Tuesday with Laura Rose and Delilah
FIRE / Wednesday with Laura Rose and Delilah
AIR / Thursday with NTP Christine and Delilah
INSPIRATIONS:
Endangered Species:
Earth / Polar Bear
Air / Condor and Crain
Fire /Salamander
Water / Shark and salmon
Food Chain GMO
Toxic AIR, Food, Drugs , . . .
We will use natures energetic demonstrations as movement themes
Hurricanes,
Tsunamis
Tornados.
Earth Quakes
Volcanoes
Blizzard
Mud slides
Heat wave
Softer tones
rain, waves, rainbows, sunsets, sun rises, moon, jewels, wind, dust,
We will sew them together with belly dance techniques that strive forward in the river of life that is represented by the parade.
Sound good?
