A TWO PART WORKSHOP

Whats a Bedlah? It’s a bra and belt set.

Dancing with coins, and bells on your hips does effect your dance. In this class so we will explore how by using them just on the hips.

In this 1st we are going to learn and get started to make a bra and belt set out of a hip scarf we will supply you and a solid fitting bra that you bring to class. I will show you different ways to make them and inspire your creativity. You do not need a sewing machine to make this and I think you will enjoy this.You will finish them up during the week as a home work project and then the next week we will dance with the hip scarf and your new coin bra. The sound of the coins helps discipline your issolations. I note that few dancers are wearing coins on their bra tops to class so this should be a novel opportunity for everyone.

Includes 5-6 Row Coin hip scarf. (value $45)

Items each student will need to bring.

1 good fitting colored bra to match your hip scarf (call for selection before workshop. Shells should not be soft and flimsy.

Sizzors, Needles and thread.

Delilah
Delilah is an internationally acclaimed belly dance performer and instructor. She was the first dancer to receive the Dancer of the Year Award from the International Academy of Middle Eastern Dance in Hollywood, California 1997. Delilah grew up in Southern California, learning the dance form as it was passed on and popularized in this country by first and second generation immigrants from Lebanon, Armenia, Iraq, Syria, Iran, Egypt, Israel, Turkey, Morocco and Greece.
