People like the Silver Cloud there are a couple 5-10 min drive. The lake Union one being very close!

Well there are a ton of nice ones downtown. My tax man recommends The Roosevelt It's in the heart of the downtown
And the Marriot Spring Hill Suites has lots of amenities but is a couple blocks from the touristy feel of downtown.
My favorites are the Embassy Suites but they are a bit of a drive 20-30 min. One is north and one is south. The south one you would get the nice view of the city on the way to Fremont
Then there's the Hilton and what not down town just look on line.
Dahlia gave me these as recommendations below for cheap hotels 5-10 min north of Fremont on a main highway. We are 5 minutes from downtown so really anything goes. Summer is busy in Seattle. We don’t have an official hotel or anything. We recommend these knowing it just depends on availability at this point.
