event because it's totally about com-
munity art; no commercial signage is
allowed. No motorized vehicles can
participate. All the floats are human-
powered. Anyone can become part of
the parade which draws thousands of
spectators, making it an incredible
 rush in which to actually participate.
Each spring, Delilah organizes, chor-
eographs and teaches a series of
dances especially for the march
down the black top!
This year,the dance team theme was
blue! There were twenty-six Fremont
tribal Tuareg blue dancers and a
contingency of blue musicians: Steve
Flynn, Claire Wesley, as well as
Michael Beach and friends who came
up from Portland.
