We will select a photo from this year's event as well and have a companion mug made later this summer.The next picture will by juried by a parade committee next week.

Hello Belly Dancers, Drummers & Friends,
I need everyone, I need everybody,
I need everyBELLY!
Seattle belly dancers, out of town belly dancers, out of state belly dancers, out of the country dancers, beginners, advanced dancers, professionals and celebrities! I'm inviting you all to plug in and be apart of creating a meaningful statement about belly dance!!
Theme: Show Our Presence TO THE WORLD!
We also need prop pushers, banner carriers and flower girls. So the whole family can get involved. Or at the very least they can take pictures and watch! We also need musicians and drummers as well as artists of other kinds who want to get behind our cause.
What style of belly dance?
You can be from any style of belly dance practice because we all come together to do... PARADE STYLE! A bit different from everything else anyways.
Our goal is to do our best and show our belly dance presence to the world! We strive to demonstrate it's beauty, it's power, it's strength, and diversity!
This project is not a "free for all". I am taking on the responsibility to lead and organize this group in the Fremont Parade. To be an organized, a powerful display and statement someone's gotta lead and direct. We need to join our individual creativity toward a larger focus. If you know me, you know I love all styles of belly dance and I always encourage creativity and open mindedness. I hope you can trust me to be a good leader. I'm asking you to register with VDP Studios for this parade project, so we have your commitment and can keep you informed. We expect you to agree to participate with respect for the rules and directions of this huge project.
What about Costumes?
You will be asked to conform to a color theme in your group but within that color you can create and wear your own style of belly dance costume and use your own creativity!
How do I plug in?
There are bunch of ways! In Seattle, coming from out-of-town, and from your house! Keep reading...
Does it cost anything?
Of course, it can't happen without green energy. We are not an arts organization with any kind of support or funding outside of our student base. Money is spent and work begins way ahead of you even reading these web pages. However, we are bringing all a quality experience and opportunity. Green energy will be generated by class fees, Billion Belly Con workshop week fees, and remote dancer registration fees.
We also need volunteers for our committees!
